Identify the version
The badge is not enough.
The 1.4 TSI name covers different engine generations. A 1.5 TSI, 1.5 eTSI and plug-in hybrid are not interchangeable either. Engine code, model year, ECU software and transmission establish the starting point. First registration can differ from model year. A registration lookup is therefore a starting point; we check the specification before linking a result to a car.
Hesitation or judder
Do not tune around an unresolved fault.
Tell us when it happens: on a cold start, during gentle acceleration, with a warm engine or under higher load. We consider maintenance, fault memory, current software and relevant measurements. Intake deposits are one possible cause, not an automatic explanation. If inspection supports it, we discuss cleaning. Ignition, air supply and transmission behaviour may also need investigation.
With a healthy baseline
Driveability is more than a peak figure.
For everyday use, torque delivery, throttle response and cooperation with the gearbox often matter most. Cylinder deactivation and mild-hybrid functions are considered where fitted. We do not promise the same gain for every 150-hp version. The exact configuration, fuel and software access determine what can be offered.
